204. Tracking Progress

Sarah: Hey John, how's your fitness journey going?

John: Hi Sarah! It's going well, but I'm not sure how to track my progress. Any tips?

Sarah: Absolutely! There are a few ways you can do that. First, you can keep a workout journal.

John: What's a workout journal?

Sarah: It's a notebook where you write down your workouts, how much weight you lifted, how many reps you did, and how you felt during and after the workout.

John: That sounds useful. What else can I do?

Sarah: You can also use fitness apps. They can track your workouts, diet, and even your sleep.

John: Do you recommend any specific apps?

Sarah: There are many good ones. MyFitnessPal is great for tracking your diet, and Strava is awesome for running and cycling.

John: I'll check them out. Anything else?

Sarah: Yes, you should regularly assess key metrics like your weight, body measurements, and performance improvements.

John: How often should I do that?

Sarah: It depends, but once a week is a good start. Take measurements like your waist, hips, and chest. You can also track how fast you run a mile or how many push-ups you can do.

John: That makes sense. I'll start doing that. Thanks for the tips, Sarah!

Sarah: No problem, John! Keep up the good work, and you'll see progress in no time.
