164. Seasonal Gardening Tasks

Tom: Hi Lily, have you noticed how the garden looks different throughout the year?

Lily: Absolutely, Tom! The seasons really do change everything, don't they?

Tom: They sure do. I remember in autumn, we planted those tulip bulbs together. It was so much fun!

Lily: Yes, and now in spring, they've bloomed into beautiful flowers. I love seeing the colors pop up.

Tom: Speaking of spring, it's also the perfect time to start planting some new veggies in the garden. I'm thinking tomatoes and cucumbers this year.

Lily: That sounds great! And don't forget about all the weeding we have to do too. Spring brings lots of growth, but also lots of maintenance.

Tom: True, we'll need to keep on top of that. And then in summer, it's all about watering and making sure everything gets enough sun.

Lily: Exactly. But my favorite season for gardening has to be autumn. There's something so satisfying about harvesting the last of the summer crops and getting the garden ready for winter.

Tom: Oh, I agree. Plus, it's the perfect time for planting bulbs like daffodils and crocuses. They always add such a nice touch of color when everything else is starting to fade.

Lily: Absolutely! And then in winter, it's more about pruning and planning for the next year. It might be cold outside, but there's still plenty to do.

Tom: Definitely. Winter is also when I like to cozy up with some gardening books and start dreaming about what I'll plant come springtime.

Lily: That sounds lovely, Tom. Gardening really is a year-round activity, isn't it?

Tom: It sure is, Lily. And it's always changing with the seasons, which is what makes it so enjoyable.

Lily: Couldn't agree more, Tom. I can't wait to see what our garden has in store for us this year!

Tom: Me too, Lily. Let's make it our best gardening year yet!
